USLawChina評：截止6月23日一共有37個區域中心被移民局終止。根據近年來的案例，USLawChina總結區域中心撤銷的原因主要有兩大方面：一方面移民局可以因區域中心未能遵循法律規定或違背其EB-5項目商業計畫而撤銷它們的資格。這類撤銷主要原因有兩個：一是因為區域中心促進經濟增長乏力，二是發現可能存在的欺詐行為。依照8CFR Section204.6(m)(6)條例,移民局移民局有權在若干條法律要求下撤銷其所批准的區域中心資格，其中包括：
1.該區域中心未能提交所要求的資訊和檔；或
2.該區域中心無法繼續促進經濟發展，例如增加出口順差，提高區域生產力，創造就業機會，以及增加國內投資資本。

另一方面，在每年財政年底，區域中心需要向移民局遞交I-924A表格證明自已仍對美國經濟發展有促進價值。[USLawChina注釋：I-924A申請表是用於表明一個區域中心仍然具備區域中心批准資格的年度報告文件。未能及時提交I-924A將導致區域中心獲發有意終止通知書(NOIT)，區域中心需要在30天內提交更多證據反對移民局的終止理由。] 區域中心主動開始退出將會成為一個新的趨勢，也是一個好的趨勢。20%的區域中心佔有80%的投資者，其餘的區域中心很多並沒有融過資，或沒有實際項目，或已陷入困境，或因審批時間過長失去興趣，或發現海外推廣和融資有困難。
